I am writing this bridal shower devotional as a new wife and mother. What is written in this devotional is advice that I would give my daughters when they get married. It will talk about real life and the true meaning of love and living life under God. Marriage is a connection between souls. It is a sacred bond that is kept through God.
I have been married for 3 years now and I am still learning about myself and my husband. We have known each other since childhood. And we still learn from each other every day. I think that keeps us excited about being together.
Over time, I have read the Bible and have come across some scriptures that encouraged me and help me for the better. As a woman and as a wife, you will become better. I hope that you find these scriptures helpful. And refer back to them, as I do.
Bridal Shower Devotional For The Bride
“A worth women who can find? For her price is far above rubies.”
-Proverbs 31:10
A woman is worth more than rubies. More than the ring on her finger. More than the stone that shines on her ring. A woman is the reason for man. God has made woman to be strong, patient and wise. These features help man.
Since a worthy woman is valuable, you must treat yourself as such. It is easy for a wife to think of herself last. But in reality, you are an equal part of the marriage. You must take care and love yourself just as much as your husband. The saying is true, “Happy wife, happy life.”
A worthy woman is the crown of her husband; But she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.”
-Proverbs 12:4
You are the light of his life. God has brought you two together. You should be treated like you are the crown on his head. You should always make your husband feel appreciated and loved.
This sounds easier than it actually is. Throughout the years of your marriage, you and your husband will go through challenges. It is important to remember, no matter how difficult it is, to be inspiring and peaceful. This will not only keep the marriage fresh, but you both will feel good about yourselves and each other. God is our strength in every situation. He is in control.
Women in like manner must be grave, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.”
-1 Timothy 3:11
This is really a challenge if you have a lot of single friends. It is very tempting to get into nonsense. As a married woman, you must hold yourself to a higher standard.
There is no need to argue with other people, especially other women. Spreading rumors and gossiping are unattractive traits for everyone. It will benefit your marriage to stay away from any drama or situations that can lead into. I the times that we live in, drama is usually entertaining. While the occasional cat fight is funny while watching it in reality TV. It is not as fun in real life.
As time goes by and as you gain more experience and wisdom. You will learn what situations to stay way from. THIS WILL TAKE TIME AND EXPERIENCE. You will make mistakes. Pray and give God all of the glory. Even when you have been wrong or have done wrong. He will embrace you with his grace, but you must have faith in everything you do.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother (and sister) is born for adversity”
Proverbs 17:17
In the same token, being a good friend plays a big part in life. Bridal showers are meant to bring you friends together to celebrate your wedding. play close attention tho these friends. Be there for them in their time of need. It is easy to be there for your friends while everything is going well. But true friends are there when things are not going well.
P.S. I put “and sisters” in the verse because this applies to all human kind.
Conclusion
