How to Make Candy Corn Sugar Cookies
The ingredients that you will need for this recipe are:
- Candy Corn
- Sugar Cookie Mix
- 1 Stick of butter
- 1 egg
Fun Fact: Candy corn is made of a mellow sweetener and cream a type of candy made of corn syrup. This is why it tastes very sweet and has a vanilla or marshmallow flavor.
The first thing you will do is pour the sugar cookie mix into a bowl. Then you will add a soften (about room temperature) stick of butter. Then add the egg.
Once we add the egg and butter to the sugar cookie mix, combine the mix until it makes a dough. Make sure your oven is on 375 degrees. They cookies are going in for about 8-10 minutes on a non sticking cooking sheet.
Form the cookies into little balls onto the non stick cooking sheet. Do NOT add the candy corn just yet. You will add them halfway through the baking time. For small to medium sized cookies, You want to add 10 to 12 cookies to a standard 20 inch nonstick cookie sheet.
Bake cookies for 4-5 minutes at 375 degrees. When you start to see the edges form (cookies almost done).
Then you want to briefly take the cookies out of the oven and add the candy corn to the top. Try not to push candy corn too hard into the dough. Add as many as desired. We added 2 or 3 to each cookie. then put it back into the oven for another minute or two.
